Kings Road Regeneration Scheme.
Notices of Road Closures have been officially posted. The closures will run from 2nd March 2009 and last about 14 weeks. Kings Road will be closed to traffic. London Road will be closed for 2 weekends. Cross Street will also be closed from 11th March 2009 for about 3 weeks for Gas works.
Details include names and phone number should you need them.

Day 3 of the works and my takings have taken a caning as have most other shops. I think traders will need to take action at some point against the Council/Highways Agency, preferably collective action if we want to be heard.
The DRUG STORE is already running 20% down. Saturday was a real disaster and little work was taking place in the road. We are very concerned about the future. I agree with the previous comments that collective action MUST BE TAKEN against the Council.
Where do we stand on business rates being reduced?
We must let our customers know that we are open as normal via the Hastings Observer, possibly.
It has been suggested that through our business insurance we may be covered for loss of trade/earnings. Good idea to check this out.
